How to Choose a Children's Entertainer

When choosing a children's entertainer you need to feel secure you're getting someone really up to the job. After all, no one wants their children's party to fall flat by unknowingly hiring a cringeworthy amateur or someone who's just not able to connect with the children.

So how do you know you're hiring a good children's entertainer? Your first clue will be the price. Most good professional entertainers charge about the same. If you've found an entertainer who's significantly cheaper than the rest then you should question why they need to price themselves so low to get work. It's just the same as hiring a plumber or an electrician, if you hire the cheapest you could well end up regretting it!

Your next clue is to study their website. If they put care and attention into a modern, informative and friendly looking website it's a fair bet they also put care and attention into the way they entertain children and, of course, in the way they deal with you as a booker. Are there photos so you know what you're getting? Does the entertainer look presentable and smart, or are they in a cheap and crumpled old clown costume? Do they look comfortable and in control?

A good children's entertainer will also be in demand for big events. So are there mentions of other parties, events, tourist attractions or holiday parks where they've worked?

And most importantly do they have reviews so you can see what other people think who have already hired them?

You should soon get a good idea or instinct of who's a good experienced and trusted professional entertainer, and who's not!
